Fruits and vegetables are good for your body.
Some of them even help fight chronic diseases, such as heart disease and cancer.
Interestingly, a method called “juicing” has become increasingly popular in recent years.
This involves extracting the nutritious juices from fresh fruits and vegetables.
Many people do this in order to “detox” or add more nutrients to their diets.
Supporters claim that juicing can improve nutrient absorption, while others say it strips away important nutrients like fiber.
This is a detailed review of juicing and its health effects, both good and bad (continue reading) …

Cinnamon is supported by several research studies showing its many health benefits.
Studies from the University of Toronto and Ball State University in Indiana have confirmed that consuming cinnamon can significantly reduce blood pressure (with 1,200 milligrams per day).
It can also lower blood sugar levels (by adding cinnamon to the morning cereal). Cinnamon helps heart health as well by lowering cholesterol.
Interestingly, a recent study in an anti-aging medical journal showed that cinnamon acts as an antioxidant (a substance that prevents harmful effects of oxygen in the body) and it effectively reduces age-related inflammation such as arthritis.
Research has found that cinnamon has the highest antioxidant activity among 26 different spices. It can ease the swelling and discomfort in joints with arthritis.
See the great chart on many ways to use cinnamon sticks here.

Arthritis is a degenerative joint disease that causes a breakdown of cartilage in the joints. It causes chronic joint pain, stiffness, swelling and reduced motion, and usually affects the hands, knees, hips or spine.

Up until now, anti-inflammatory drugs have been the most common treatment for arthritis symptoms, but they can have many side effects and may even worsen the condition.
Sulfur-containing compounds such as glucosamine sulfate and MSM hold great promise for people with joint-cartilage problems. They have been shown (continue reading) …

A high percentage of women in the premenopause and postmenopause years experience hot flashes and night sweats. In fact, the National Institutes of Health recently published a report called the “State-of-the-Science Statement on the Management of Menopause-Related Symptoms”.
In this article, the authors write that 30% to 80% of women in menopause regularly experience this sudden, intense, hot, perspiring feeling in their face and upper body.
A diminished level of estrogen has a direct effect on the hypothalamus, the part of the brain responsible for controlling our body temperature, sleep cycles, and hormones. The menopausal drop in estrogen confuses the hypothalamus, which is sometimes referred to as the body’s “thermostat”, and makes it read “too hot.”
